Rahul Gandhi faced a delay in launching the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra as the special IndiGo flight, carrying him and other leaders to Imphal, experienced delays attributed to fog and poor visibility conditions at Delhi Airport on Sunday morning. Despite the setback, Gandhi embarked on the Yatra, aiming to address the nation's critical issues. The Yatra's kick-off ceremony included a floral tribute at the Khongjom War Memorial, followed by the official launch at Myay Maidan in Manipur's Thoubai.

Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, a significant political initiative, commenced with Rahul Gandhi emphasizing the Congress party's commitment to addressing real issues like unemployment, and inflation. However, the launch faced restrictions imposed by the Manipur government, limiting the flagging-off ceremony to an hour and capping the number of participants at a maximum of 3,000 people.

While facing delays and restrictions, Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra kicks off in Manipur, underscoring the Congress party's focus on addressing pressing issues affecting the nation. The journey, which began with a floral tribute and an official launch, aims to connect with the public and bring attention to key concerns. As the Yatra progresses, Gandhi is scheduled to reach Nagaland on January 14 and continue to Assam on January 18.

Ahead of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday said “The real issues have been lost in the noise of distractions. But the Congress party is firm on the real issues of the country - unemployment, inflation, national security, women's rights, SC/ST exploitation, caste census, economic inequality etc. Our aim is to provide an alternative system to the country by listening to the public. This is why the fight for justice is necessary.”
